Federico Comitani

Federico Comitani is a Senior Data Scientist at Recursion since May 2023, specializing in the development of computational tools and analyses across various data layers, particularly in chemistry and drug-target interactions. Previously, Federico held several positions including Data Scientist and Research Associate in Genetics and Genome Biology at The Hospital for Sick Children, where machine learning classifiers for pediatric tumors were developed. Additional experience includes a role as Computational Scientist at Cyclica, focusing on deep-learning predictors for drug-target interactions, and a Postdoctoral Research Associate position at University College London, modeling anticancer inhibitors. Federico completed a PhD in Physics from King's College London, having also participated in an ERASMUS Exchange Programme at Queen Mary University of London and earned both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Università degli Studi di Milano.
