Gary B

Gary B is an experienced bioinformatics and data science leader with a strong background in drug discovery and computational biology. Currently serving as Associate Director at Recursion, Gary oversees teams developing computational strategies and integrating high-throughput data with AI methods into R&D pipelines. Previously at insitro, Gary managed a team focused on target identification and biomarker discovery while also leading machine learning projects. Gary's career includes roles at Novartis as a Postdoctoral Researcher, where advanced research in target identification was conducted, and various positions at PacBio, Genomic Health, and AstraZeneca, contributing to bioinformatics, algorithm development, and lab automation. Gary holds a BSc in Molecular Biology from the University of St Andrews.
