James Jensen is a highly experienced data scientist currently serving as a Staff Data Scientist at Recursion since May 2018, following roles as Senior Data Scientist and Data Scientist within the same company. Prior to this, James worked at the Jill Mesirov lab at UC San Diego from March 2016 to May 2018 as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Graduate Research Assistant. James also gained experience as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Trey Ideker lab at UC San Diego from April 2013 to March 2016. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioinformatics from UC San Diego (2012-2017) and a Bachelor's Degree in Bioinformatics and Economics from Brigham Young University (2008-2012).
