Michael Cuccarese

Michael Cuccarese is a seasoned professional in the field of drug discovery and oncology, currently serving as the VP of Industrialized Drug Discovery at Recursion since August 2017. Prior roles at Recursion include Senior Director of Oncology and Industrialized Drug Discovery, Director of Translational Oncology, and various positions in Discovery Biology. Prior to Recursion, Michael Cuccarese worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School in the Weissleder Lab, focusing on tumor immunology and molecular imaging. Key contributions include developing imaging scaffolds for visualizing the tumor immune microenvironment and high-content imaging for macrophage polarization screening. Michael Cuccarese earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Northeastern University and a BS in Chemistry from The Ohio State University.
