Michaela Hatch

Michaela Hatch currently serves as a Senior Scientist at Recursion since April 2019, where involvement includes co-chairing the Women at Recursion Employee Resource Group since June 2023. Michaela also holds the position of Head Volleyball Coach for the Granite School District, alongside serving as Owner and Executive Director of Radiate Volleyball since October 2020. Previous roles include positions at UC Irvine as a Staff Research Associate II, where research focused on blood vessel mechanisms related to Port Wine Birthmark and Sturge-Weber Syndrome, and at Boston University School of Medicine as a Research Assistant studying Wnt5a signaling in endothelial cells. Michaela's educational background includes a BA in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Boston University, complemented by experience in teaching physical education and officiating intramural volleyball.
