Nil Sahin

Nil Sahin is a Data Scientist at Recursion since May 2023, following the acquisition of Cyclica, where Nil served as a Computational Scientist from July 2021 to May 2023, focusing on scientific software development for drug discovery. Prior to this, Nil was a PhD Candidate at the University of Toronto from October 2015 to September 2021, specializing in machine learning and computer vision approaches in phenotypic profiling, and published research in Nature Communications. Additional experience includes work as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Sabanci University and a summer intern at the University of Toronto, contributing to research on drug interactions and sensitivity profiles. Nil holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Bioengineering from Sabanci University.
