Steven Brown

Steven Brown is an experienced professional in the biopharmaceutical field, currently serving as Associate Director of Early Portfolio Operations at Recursion since March 2021, and previously holding positions such as Platform Innovation Manager and Senior Process Development Research Associate. Prior to Recursion, Steven worked at GSK from May 2017 to March 2021 as a BioPharmaceutical Technology Scientist specializing in downstream protein purification, where responsibilities included hypothesizing and evaluating purification processes and investigating manufacturing deviations. Steven also served as a BioPharmaceutical Technology Associate at GSK, managing pre-filtration implementation and troubleshooting production issues. Earlier roles included an Undergraduate Research Assistant and Lab Teaching Assistant at Penn State University, where Steven contributed to research on plant defense systems and educated students in biology lab techniques. Steven holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Penn State University.
