Tom Clements

Tom Clements is an experienced Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead with a strong background in data science and machine learning. At Recursion, Tom leads a microservices team that develops and manages distributed, event-based services for an AI drug design platform. Previously, at Exscientia, Tom contributed to the development of an AI platform aimed at accelerating drug design. Experience as a Data Science Consultant at Accenture AI involved enhancing data science capabilities for FTSE 100 companies, while tenure at Man Group focused on building big data strategies for alternative data. Early career roles included positions at EDF Energy as a Reactor Physicist and Kubrick Group as a Data Science Consultant, showcasing expertise in data analytics. Tom holds a First Class MSci degree in Natural Sciences, with a focus on Physics and Chemistry, from the University of Bath.
