Recursive Funk provides fractional CTO and interim engineering leadership for B2B SaaS and AI companies.

We step into VP and CTO roles—fractional or interim—for companies that need experienced engineering leadership without the full-time commitment.

What We Do:
Fractional CTO – Strategic technical leadership embedded with your team 2-5 hours per week. We provide guidance, make critical decisions, and keep engineering aligned with business goals.

Interim CTO/VP – Full-time leadership for companies between executives, scaling fast, or restructuring. We stabilize operations, build your permanent team, and set you up for long-term success.

Technical Due Diligence – Pre-acquisition assessment of architecture, team capabilities, security posture, and technical risks.

Advisory – Strategic counsel for boards and founding teams on engineering leadership, organizational design, and technology decisions.

Our Experience:
20+ years building and scaling engineering organizations. We've managed teams from 5 to 200 people, $20M+ budgets, and shipped products serving millions of users across fintech, social media, logistics, and developer tools.

We've scaled platforms from 250K to 7M+ units, improved AI model accuracy from 78% to 95%, achieved SOC 2 compliance, and led companies through successful acquisitions.

Our Approach:
We don't believe in playbooks. Every company is different. But we do believe in shipping over perfection, outcomes over process, and building for where you are—not where you think you should be.

We help you ship faster, hire better, and avoid the expensive mistakes we've already made.
