Phil Ngo has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. Phil started their career at Harvard University as an Undergraduate Researcher, where they developed manufacturing techniques for a biomaterial used in cell growth assays. After that, they worked as a Research Assistant at the California Institute of Technology.
In 2012, Phil was an intern at Idealab and Wolfram Research, gaining experience in software engineering. Phil then joined the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences as a Course Assistant, teaching programming concepts.
In 2013, Phil worked at 3D Plus Me as a Software Engineer and Technical Consultant, where they invented a facial registration system and wrote software to realize this objective. Phil also worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
In 2014, Phil held multiple roles at different companies. Phil worked as a Data Scientist at Effortless Energy, Inc., where they focused on analytics. At Data Science for Social Good, they were a Fellow and built open-source packages and apps. Phil also worked at The Impact Lab as a Data Scientist and Software Developer, building data products for clients in energy efficiency and non-profit sectors.
Phil's most recent experience is at Recurve, where they have held various roles since 2014. Phil started as a Software Engineer and Data Scientist and later progressed to Senior Software Engineer, Director of Engineering, and currently serves as the VP of Engineering. At Recurve, Phil contributed to the development of the Open Energy Efficiency Meter and played a key role in architecting the OpenEE platform.
From 2008 to 2014, Phil Ngo attended Harvard University, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry.
