Founded in July 2024 Recycle Roots Ltd is a UK-registered private limited company focused on developing technology and know-how to transform waste biomass into high-quality biochar — a soil-enhancing material capable of sequestering carbon for over 1,000 years.

Using proprietary technology, the company can capture up to 25% more carbon than existing methods, supporting scalable solutions in carbon removal, sustainable waste processing, and renewable energy generation.

Although still a small team, the company is led by Will Garrard and Jake Payne, with ambitious plans to expand both technology and impact in the clean-tech, biochar and carbon trading sectors.
