Dave Hoover started their work experience as a Founder/CEO at Red Squirrel Technologies in 2015. Dave initially worked as an independent software engineer before subcontracting to other developers and eventually hiring full-time employees in the company. In 2022, they co-founded Quickbeam with the aim of addressing accessibility issues and cultural barriers in the web3 ecosystem. Prior to this, in 2021, Dave worked as a Partner at The Canoe Project, where they utilized their expertise to navigate challenges in various environments. As for their involvement in nonprofit organizations, Dave served as the Board Chair at We All Code from 2019 to 2022 and as a Board Member at Code Platoon from 2016 to 2022. Additionally, they held the role of Chief Technology Officer at GoLogic Solutions in 2020. In 2019, Dave played a significant role as the VP of Engineering (interim) at Ascent RegTech, helping the company during a transitional phase and contributing to raising a $19.3MM Series B funding. Before that, they held the positions of Head of Engineering and Senior Ethereum Engineer at Raise from 2016 to 2018. Dave began their career as an Ethereum Developer at ConsenSys in 2016. Prior to their professional experience, they co-founded Dev Bootcamp in 2012, where they served as the Co-founder, Managing Director, and Advisor until 2016.
Dave Hoover attended Wheaton College from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Following this, from 1997 to 1999, they attended Seattle Pacific University and earned a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
