Principal Security Engineer at Redbot Security

Keith Cox has a diverse work experience background starting from 2012 when they worked as an Intern with Nucleus Entertainment in their editing department. In 2013, they worked as a Production Assistant with ACH Reunion, LLC, where they supervised and regulated the Craft Services, assisted the casting process, and looked after the set design. Keith then worked as a Quality Assurance Tester for Activision in 2013 for Call of Duty: Ghosts and later worked at Ballerz World as a Quality Assurance Tester, designed a uniform bug report template, and preformed rigorous testing procedures to ensure high-quality production.

Keith then worked for Square Enix in 2014 as a Quality Assurance Tester. Keith joined Dataoptek in 2013, where they worked as a Network Infrastructure Technician, install and troubleshoot T1 and fiber telecommunications, installed VoIP phone systems, and repaired library hardware and security systems for the SoCal Public Library System.

From 2015 to 2020, Keith worked for Rapid7, first as a Frontline Support Engineer, where they served as a liaison between Rapid7 and its clients and ensured customer success within their business objectives. Keith worked as a Security Analyst from 2017 to 2020 and as a Security Consultant from February 2020 to July 2020. Keith left Rapid7 to work as a Red Team Consultant for CynergisTek, Inc., where they worked as a penetration tester.

Recently, Keith started working as a Senior Penetration Testing Engineer at Redbot Security, and they will soon become their Principal Security Engineer in 2023.

Keith Cox earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre/Theater from University of California, Riverside in 2013. Before that, they attended St Bernard High School from 2004 to 2008. Currently, they are enrolled in MIT Professional Education to study Artificial Intelligence, which they are expected to complete in 2023. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications including Offensive Security Certified Professional, Network Assault Certification, Metasploit Pro Certified Specialist, GIAC Penetration Tester, among others from institutions such as Rapid7, CompTIA, and GIAC Certifications.
