Phillip Gardner has held a variety of roles in the Information Technology industry since 2008. Phillip began their career as a Medical Records Clerk at Western Washington Medical Group in 2008. In 2012, they took on the role of Information Technology Assistant at The Howard Group, Inc. and later, in the same year, they became a Desktop Help Technician via Robert Half at Damar Aerosystems. In 2013, they worked as a Customer Support Specialist at Premera Blue Cross and an IT & EMR Support at Northwest Hospital. Phillip then joined Microsoft in 2013, where they held the role of Technical Program Manager and Senior Solutions Engineer until 2021. In 2018, they joined The Howard Group, Inc. as an Information Technology Administrator and in 2022, they began their current role as Director, Process Excellence at REDCap Cloud.

Phillip Gardner is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Western Governors University, which they began in 2021. Previously, they completed an Associate of Science in Computer Information Systems from Everett Community College between 2009 and 2012. Phillip has also obtained several certifications from LinkedIn, including Learning Relational Databases, MTA Database Fundamentals (98-364) Cert Prep: 2 Creating and Manipulating Data, Programming Foundations: Databases, and SQL Essential Training, all obtained in June 2021. In May 2021, they obtained the Computer Science Principles: Programming certification from LinkedIn. Additionally, they obtained the Elements of AI: Introduction to AI certification from the University of Helsinki and Reaktor in March 2021. Finally, they have obtained three certifications from Everett Community College: Computer Network Technician, Network Systems Associate, and Network Systems Technician.
