Subhajit Kumar Barman began their work experience in 2013 as a Group Leader for the National Service Scheme. In this role, they surveyed village and slum areas, identified and solved problems, and taught at village schools to create social awareness.
In 2014, they became the Chief-Editor and Cartoonist for Awaaz, the campus media body of IIT Kharagpur. Subhajit Kumar was responsible for spreading news on and off campus through online and newspaper platforms. Additionally, they conducted interviews with alumni and inspired others on campus.
During their time at ShopClues in 2016 and 2017, Barman worked as a Summer Intern - Software Developer. Subhajit Kumar contributed to developing the Zingchart Graph API, creating interactive charts, fetching real-time data from databases, and visualizing it through graphs. Subhajit Kumar also worked on setting up dynamic ads using the Facebook Catalog Batch API.
In 2019, Barman joined BetterPlace as an SDE II and later transitioned to an SDE I role. Subhajit Kumar gained experience in various technologies and worked on templating, developing stable and reusable functions, and styling web pages.
Currently, they are working as a Software Engineer at REDCap Cloud since 2023.
Subhajit Kumar Barman obtained their Master's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Subhajit Kumar pursued this degree from 2013 to 2019.
Prior to their Master's degree, they completed their High School education from Chakdaha Ramlal Academy. During high school, they studied Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and other subjects. This education spanned from 2005 to 2013.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Subhajit also obtained several certifications. In 2016, they acquired the Duolingo Spanish Fluency: Elementary (Estimated) certification from Duolingo. In 2015, they obtained the Campus Hackathon (code.fun.do) certification from Microsoft, as well as the Duolingo Spanish Fluency: Beginner (Estimated) certification from Duolingo. In 2013, they were recognized as the Best Volunteer at the NSS Camp, organized by the National Service Scheme. Furthermore, they completed the "Android Development for Beginners" certification from Udacity, although the specific month and year are not provided.
