Derek Olson

Derek Olson is a seasoned geospatial applications developer and remote sensing specialist with extensive experience in environmental and forestry-related projects. Currently employed at RedCastle Resources, Inc. since October 2015, Derek has previously held positions as a research assistant at The Nature Conservancy and as a hydrologic/GIS technician with the United States Forest Service. Additional roles include serving as a botany/GIS technician at the U.S. Geological Survey and as a soils and vegetation technician at KC Harvey Soil and Water Consulting. Derek holds a Master of Software Development in Computer Science from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from the University of Montana.
