Kevin Dious is the current Chief of Staff to the CEO at Reddit. Kevin was previously a Senior Software Engineer at Ubiqomm from July 2014 to February 2017 where they designed and developed an automated testing framework for testing their hardware and software based on Python and C. Kevin also designed and developed a custom UDP-based and RPC-based device management system using Protocol Buffers, Python and C. Kevin developed a thermal management system using Arduinos, thermocouples, IP-based communication and other custom circuitry for a system to operate in temperatures as low as -80°C. Kevin has also worked on Arduino microcontroller development, developing an inter-beam handoff protocol using custom 802.11 management messages and RSSI threshold detection. Kevin has also worked on system design for a proprietary wifi-based communication system. In their previous positions at Qualcomm, Kevin worked on modifications to the 802.11ac wifi driver software stack for a high altitude TDD/FDD based prototype system as well as the design and implementation of custom IP-based communication protocols.
Kevin Dious has a B.S. in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University, an M.S. in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a J.D. in Law from the University of Georgia School of Law. Kevin also has a certification in Introduction to Containers w/ Docker, Kubernetes & OpenShift from Coursera, as well as a certification in Blockchain Basics from Coursera. Additionally, they have a certification in Blockchain Platforms from Coursera and a certification in Blockchain Specialization from Coursera. Finally, they have a certification in Decentralized Applications (Dapps) from Coursera and a certification in Smart Contracts from Coursera.
