Serkan Piantino

Serkan Piantino is currently the VP of Foundational Product at Reddit. Serkan has previously served as CEO of Spell, from January 2017 to August 2022. Prior to that, they were with Economic Security Project and Tech:NYC.

From October 2007 to June 2016, Piantino worked as the Director of Engineering for Facebook AI Research. Serkan was also a co-founder of Loose Record Inc. from January 2005 to October 2006.

Piantino began their career as an intern with the U.S. House of Representatives from June 2003 to August 2003, working with Chris Shays (CT-4). Serkan then went on to work as an Investment Associate for Bridgewater Associates from August 2004 to November 2006.

Serkan Piantino studied computer science and mathematics at Carnegie Mellon University.

Their manager is Pali Bhat, Chief Product Officer. They work with Jason Costa - Director of Product, Adriel Frederick - VP, Product - Reddit X, and Evan Hamilton - Director of Community.
