Simon Spicer

Simon Spicer is a mathematician-turned-data scientist and Fulbright Scholar currently working as a Staff Data Scientist at Reddit, where they use data and mathematics to enhance community safety. Their extensive experience includes leading a research team at Google and serving as a Data Scientist at Meta, focusing on content moderation and product analytics. Simon has also taught various undergraduate mathematics courses at the University of Washington and worked as a substitute lecturer at the University of Cape Town. They hold multiple degrees in mathematics, including a PhD from the University of Washington.
