Ty Williams

Senior UX Researcher & Lead, Safety

Ty Williams is a seasoned UX researcher with extensive experience in leading research initiatives focused on consumer and community safety at Reddit, Inc., where responsibilities include developing research agendas and managing execution for multiple product teams. Prior to this role, Ty contributed to HBO Max as a UX researcher, forming strategic partnerships to identify research opportunities and conducting international studies to inform product enhancements. As a senior strategist at Smashing Ideas, Ty defined business goals and conducted user research for enterprise clients, while earlier experience includes technical recruiting at FLEXE, improving onboarding processes, and managing projects at Search Associates. Ty holds a Master of Science in Human Centered Design and Engineering from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the UW Foster School of Business, with a minor in Music.
