Manager, Growth Portfolio at REDF

Growth Portfolio Manager Kurt Kargou collaborates with growth-stage employment social enterprises and their teams to achieve ambitious goals to scale their businesses and expand their impact. He is passionate about the ability of philanthropy, finance, and public policy to support resilient communities, and is excited to work with employment social enterprises that are actively building a more inclusive economy.

Kurt’s background in finance and grantmaking has affirmed his belief in the power of venture philanthropy to propel an organization to the next level of impact. Before joining REDF, Kurt spent time as a teacher with Teach for America before moving into roles to fund and support the establishment of new schools. Kurt also brings experience in investment banking.

Kurt is currently pursuing his Master’s in Business Administration at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business as a Chicago Booth Civic Scholar. He holds a BS in Global Business and Political Science from University of Houston.
