Senior Engineering Manager, Dallas Engineering Site Lead at Redfin

Ben "Ditto" Lasley has an extensive work experience in various companies and positions. Ben "Ditto" started their career as a Senior Staff Assistant at Save the Harbor/Save the Bay in 2007 and worked there until 2009.

In 2010, they joined Stanford University Computer Science Department as a Computer Science Intern and was responsible for migrating the internal internship application program and preparing the department's user management system for migration.

Later in 2011, they worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Experience Project for a brief period of time.

In 2009, Ben joined The Stanford Band as an Assistant Manager and helped oversee operations and planning, as well as organize recruitment for the next year's dance team. Ben "Ditto" also briefly served as the Manager, conducting the band at performances for four months.

From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Software Developer at Redfin, contributing to the implementation of user-facing features. Ben "Ditto" then became the Lead Software Developer on the Agent Contact Engineering (ACE) team, managing a small team of developers while continuing to contribute to user-facing features.

In 2015, Ben became a Software Development Manager at Redfin, leading the Customer Engagement team and working on projects such as Video Tours, integrating Google's Predictive Traffic API, and implementing instant tour appointment confirmation.

Finally, in 2017, they took on the role of Senior Engineering Manager and Dallas Engineering Site Lead at Redfin. Ben "Ditto" is responsible for leading the Tour Automation engineering team and focusing on improving the home tour scheduling process. Ben "Ditto" is also a member of Redfin's Diversity Council and actively works towards improving diversity and inclusion in the company's Products and Engineering departments.

Ben "Ditto" Lasley completed their education at Stanford University. In 2005, they began their undergraduate journey and graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. After completing their undergraduate studies, Ben continued their academic pursuits at Stanford University and obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science in 2012.
