David Waiting

David Waiting is a Senior Solution Architect at Red Hat, specializing in application and infrastructure architecture for high-performance telecommunications. They have previously held significant roles at Telkom Mobile, where they were integral in launching South Africa's fourth mobile operator and implementing core network infrastructure, and also at Comcast, where they led the design and deployment of telco-grade OpenStack and Kubernetes clusters. David earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications from the University of Cape Town, building a robust foundation in the field with earlier degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
