Derek Carr is a Senior Distinguished Engineer at Red Hat, where they focus on software engineering for OpenShift and contribute to the upstream Kubernetes project. Previously, they worked at IBM as a Staff Software Engineer, developing integration technologies and public APIs for IBM Collaboration Solutions. Derek also played key roles in leading the development of IBM’s first W3C compliant XForm processor and contributed to social software applications. They earned a BA in Computer Science from Boston College in 2004.
