Grant Shipley

Grant Shipley is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in cloud and software development. Currently serving as Sr. Director of GenAI Foundation Model Platforms at Red Hat, Grant focuses on Generative AI model development and deployment across hybrid cloud environments. Previous roles at VMware include Sr. Director of Product Led Growth for Tanzu and Sr. Director of Kubernetes, where notable contributions involved leadership in product growth and advocacy. Grant's earlier tenure at Red Hat, spanning from 2005 to 2019, encompassed various leadership positions, including managing the OpenShift Container and Kubernetes Platform. A seasoned speaker and writer, Grant has also engaged with numerous conferences and developed technical content on PaaS. Grant holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Utah Valley University and further education from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
