Jay Barber

Jay Barber is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in strategic messaging and engagement. Currently serving as a Communications Strategist at Red Hat since January 2020, Jay has previously held roles including Communications & Engagement Consultant at MetLife from May 2015 to December 2019 and Marketing Specialist in a freelance capacity from January 2013 to May 2015. Additional experience includes serving as Program Coordinator at the University of Colorado Boulder during 2013-2014 and various positions at Progress Energy from September 2004 to April 2013. Jay Barber holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, earned between 2001 and 2004.
