Karen Murphy has extensive experience in tax roles, starting as a Tax Trainee and progressing through various positions at KPMG Ireland from September 2012 to September 2015. After a career break for travel in early 2019, Karen joined Red Hat, first as a Senior EMEA Tax Accountant from August 2019 to April 2022, and currently serves as the EMEA Direct Tax Manager. Karen holds multiple qualifications, including an AITI Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) designation from the Irish Tax Institute and a Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualification from Chartered Accountants Ireland. Academic achievements include a BComm with First Class Honours and a Masters in Accounting with First Class Honours from University College Cork.
