Petra Sargent has extensive experience in technical writing and management within software development, having worked for notable companies such as CloudBees and Red Hat. At CloudBees, Petra served as a Technical Writer for SaaS-based products, focusing on content strategy and standardizing technical documentation post-merger. At Red Hat, Petra held multiple roles, including Associate Manager, where collaboration with documentation program managers and content strategists was essential for project success. Additionally, as Global Manager of Customer Content Services, Petra led documentation teams and coordinated cross-product efforts to align with company strategies. Earlier, Petra contributed to the OpenStack community and taught Networking and Computer Technologies courses at Wake Technical Community College.
