Rob Bell is a Principal Software Engineer at Red Hat since October 2025, with prior experience as a Senior Software Engineer at Mind Foundry from March 2017 to October 2025 and as a Software Developer at Oxford Computer Consultants from May 2015 to February 2017. In addition to industry experience, Rob held the position of Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow at Caltech in July 2010. Rob holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics, a Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Sciences, all from the University of Cambridge, with education completed between 2007 and 2014. Early education was obtained at Outwood Grange College from 2000 to 2007.
