Taher Shaker

Taher Shaker is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in solution architecture and technical sales within the telecommunications and cloud sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Account Solution Architect at Red Hat since September 2025, Taher has previously held roles such as Senior Pre-Sales Solution Architect at SUSE and Senior Presales Solution Engineer at VMware, where responsibilities included leading tech sales for the telco sector and driving multi-million-dollar solution architect initiatives. Additional experience includes Presales Solutions Architect at Tigera, where Taher contributed to technical sales in the EMEA region, Staff IT Engineer at Qualcomm focusing on VMware-based projects, and various engineering roles at VMware focused on customer technical support and escalations. Taher holds a Postgraduate Degree in Computer Science from the University of Liverpool and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
