Jen Jensen

Project Manager, Product Development at Redlen Technologies Inc.

Jen Jensen has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Jen started their career at Cascade Aqua-Tech Ltd. in 1993, where they worked as an Inside Technical Sales representative, providing sales support and acting as a subject matter expert in commercial construction sealants and fire-stopping products. In 1995, they became self-employed and worked as an Internet Contractor/Technical Writer, designing and implementing Intranet web sites for corporate clients, developing course material, and designing client websites. Jen then joined BC Hydro in 1998 as a Technical Writer, documenting service request business processes, performing quality assurance scripts, and writing and publishing project newsletters. Since 2015, they have been working at Redlen Technologies Inc., initially as a Mechanical Draftsperson/Document Control specialist, and later transitioning into the role of a Technical Documentation Specialist. In this role, they are responsible for managing the participation of their department in Redlen's Product Development Process, delivering documentation packages to customers, creating design documents for radiation sensor production, and implementing standard documentation sets. In 2023, they took on the additional role of a Product Development Project Manager & Technical Documentation Lead.

Jen Jensen holds a Certificate in CAD/CADD Drafting and/or Design Technology/Technician from American River College, which was obtained from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Literature (British and Commonwealth) from the University of Victoria, where they studied from 1982 to 1986.

In addition to their formal education, Jen has completed several certification courses. Jen obtained an ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor certification from SAI Global Education & Training in November 2021. Jen also completed an Introduction to Project Management course from the Gustavson School of Business, University of Victoria, and a Project Management Foundations: Schedules course from LinkedIn in September 2021.
