Patrick Chiang

Patrick Chiang has held various roles in the tech industry since 1999. Patrick began their career at Soundview Technology Group as an Investment Banker, then moved to Loudcloud as a Business Developer and Finance professional. In 2000, they joined Jawbone as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Business Operations, part of the founding team of Jawbone's consumer business. Patrick managed day-to-day operations, finance, accounting, legal, HR, customer support, business & corporate development, and strategic planning & direct sales. From 2005-2010, they served as President & Chief Executive Officer of Five Apes. In 2013, they founded and served as CEO of empath, designing and manufacturing ELFKINS, a connected animatronic toy/robot. Patrick raised ~$4M in total funding led by Sean Parker and negotiated favorable inventory financing with manufacturer & preferred component pricing. From 2019-2020, they served as a Strategy, Finance & Operations Consultant/Advisor to Nixplay and CoROS, advising in areas of strategy, finance, sales & marketing and corporate & business development. Patrick advised the CEO of Nixplay on retail expansion into initial offline retail (Best Buy). In 2020, they became President & COO of Redocly.

Patrick Chiang received their MBA from Harvard Business School in 2006, where they studied General Management. Patrick had previously earned their Bachelors in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1998.
