Steve Durant

Steve Durant is a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience at Massachusetts General Hospital since 1986, serving in both primary care and child and adult psychiatry out-patient settings, and currently as Co-Director of the MGH Sport Psychology Program. Since 2005, Durant has contributed to the MGH Medical team for professional sports franchises, including the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, and New England Patriots. With a consulting role for the Boston Red Sox since 2015 and serving as a Senior Consultant for the Boston Bruins since 2017, Durant has also worked with the Red Sox Foundation and the Mass General Hospital Home Base Program from 2012 to 2018. Notably, Durant has provided psychological support as Team Psychologist for the USA Rugby Men's National Side from 2012 to 2016. Educational credentials include an Ed.D. in Psychology from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a BA in Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross.
