Wesley Ryan Benally

Wesley has more than 15 years of experience in public accounting performing audits of a wide range for Native American communities, state and local government agencies, and non-profits, nationwide. In his role as a member of the Arizona State Board of Accountancy’s Peer Review Oversight Advisory Committee, Wes stays abreast of critical quality control issues that impact his audit engagements. And as a project and team leader, Wes ensures their accurate and timely completion, while always striving to exceed client expectations.

As the leader of REDW’s National Tribal Practice, Wes is also committed to improving financial literacy throughout Indian Country. He serves as an instructor for the Tribal Financial Managers Certificate Program offered through Arizona State University’s American Indian Policy Institute and sponsored by NAFOA, and regularly speaks on a variety of audit and accounting topics at national NIGA and NAFOA conferences. He also directs numerous educational webinars and podcasts on tribal matters that further demonstrate REDW’s expertise and thought leadership. As a Board member for a tribal gaming entity that operates in two states, Wes keeps up with regulatory issues important to tribal gaming operations, as well.
