Steven Lockyer

Steven Lockyer is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in thermal management systems and product design for space applications. Currently serving as Test Engineering Manager and previously as Thermal Systems Product Engineer at Redwire Space since December 2020, Steven focuses on designing and analyzing thermal management systems for SmallSats, testing spacecraft components, and conducting thermal modeling using Thermal Desktop and SolidWorks. Prior to Redwire, Steven worked as a Staff Engineer at LoadPath from July 2013 to December 2020, where responsibilities included managing a thermal research lab and conducting mechanical design and testing for various AFRL experiments. Steven holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Mexico School of Engineering, earned between 2010 and 2019.
