Robert Applegate

Robert Applegate has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies over the years. Robert began their career as a Software Developer at Ingensis from September 2001 to November 2003. Robert then worked as an Applications Developer for Bottomline Technologies in Reading from November 2003 to December 2004, where they created solutions using Paybase BACS, Cheques, Docs, and Web Series.

From December 2004 to August 2006, Robert was a Software Developer at Network Data in Chertsey, where they developed various areas of the in-house information system, Sentinel, including insurance policy creators, commission imports and calculations, compliance screens, and Decision in Principle (DIP) and Full Application screens.

At Eque2 Limited, Robert worked as a Housebuilding Developer from August 2006 to July 2014. Here, they contributed to the development of Housebuilding (SiteStream) and analyzed business requirements to produce detailed Technical Specifications for construction firms.

From July 2014 to October 2014, Robert served as a Senior Application Developer for CliniSys in Chertsey, where they wrote a new Data Access Layer (DAL) to connect to an Oracle 11g database, modified the DAWN interface, and improved the Release website's Agile asset retrieval.

Next, at Capital Home Loans in Fleet, Robert worked as a Senior Developer from November 2014 to October 2018. Robert played a crucial role in the IT Department, overhauling the 401 process, creating web pages for the Online Lending Portal, and assisting the business in returning to lending.

As a Senior Developer at Intersoft Systems & Programming Limited in Egham from October 2018 to June 2021, Robert developed label integrations for various carriers and provided bespoke logistic solutions to companies like Harrods, BooHoo, and River Island.

Currently, Robert is a Senior Software Developer at Redwood Technologies (Content Guru) in Bracknell, starting in June 2021. Robert focuses on creating the backend for the MTA mobile application, which closely integrates with the company's flagship call centre software, Storm.

Robert Applegate began their education at All Hallows School, Farnham, from 1990 to 1995, where they completed their GCSE level studies. Robert then attended Farnborough Sixth Form College from 1995 to 1997, earning an A Level qualification. Robert Applegate continued their education at the University of Surrey from 1997 to 2001, where they obtained a Bsc (Hons) degree in Computing.
