Peter Dow

Peter Dow has extensive work experience in the engineering field. In their most recent role as Vice President of Engineering and UK Managing Director at REE, they oversee engineering operations. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Project Engineering at Group Lotus, where they led various engineering projects. Peter also served as the Engineering Director at GEELY for a brief period. Before that, at Tata Technologies, they held multiple positions including Global Director of Platform Engineering and Global Engineering Director of the Electrical & Electronics Centre of Excellence. Peter also served as the Country Manager for China and Vice President of Engineering, Research & Development for South East Asia at Tata Technologies. Additionally, Peter worked as the Vice President of Vehicle Systems at Ricardo Shanghai Co Ltd and as the Chief Engineer of the Vehicle Product Group at Ricardo UK Ltd. Peter began their career as an independent contractor, specializing in Powertrain Integration.

Peter Dow earned their Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering (MEng) from the University of Surrey, specializing in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, and Business Management from 1991 to 1995. Peter later pursued a PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Automotive Engineering - Powertrain Research and Development from the University of Nottingham, completing it between 1996 and 2000.
