Fred Simard

Fred Simard is ReedGroup’s VP, CFO. In addition to leading ReedGroup’s Finance teams, Fred also holds the very important role of Chief Actuary for the Commercial and Government Markets (CGM) division. In his Chief Actuary role, Fred is responsible for measuring the profitability and risk for the products and services we provide across CGM. Fred brings more than 25 years of industry experience to the role. He most recently served as CFO for National Accounts in MetLife’s Group Insurance business. Fred has also held a variety of senior leadership roles in actuarial, finance, reinsurance, product management and market management, across the entire Group Insurance product portfolio for both MetLife and, before that, Unum.
