ReefStarter, Inc. is an early-stage coastal innovation company developing modular “living breakwater” systems that combine engineered strength with ecological design. Our goal is to restore coral reefs, protect vulnerable shorelines, and create new economic opportunities for coastal communities.

We are currently designing and piloting submerged breakwater modules that:
	•	Dissipate wave energy and reduce beach erosion
	•	Mimic natural reef structure to encourage coral settlement and marine life
	•	Enable add-on technologies like IoT sensors, renewable energy, and reef-friendly enhancements

ReefStarter is at the beginning of its journey. We are building partnerships with resorts, coastal communities, researchers, contractors, and insurers to co-develop pilot projects. Our team combines expertise in engineering, ecology, and entrepreneurship, and we are looking for collaborators who share our vision of scaling sustainable coastal protection.
