Emma Pethybridge

Emma Pethybridge is the General Manager of the ReefTO Taskforce and the Founder of Ethical Republic, focusing on sustainable livelihoods and nature-based enterprises. With extensive experience in leading initiatives that benefit Indigenous communities, Emma has contributed to projects in carbon and biodiversity markets, cultural tourism, and sustainable agriculture. Previously, they held strategic roles at organizations such as RedR Australia, the Vancouver Aquarium, and the Indigenous Land Corporation. Emma holds multiple degrees, including a Bachelor of Arts/Science from The Australian National University, and continues to engage in governance and public policy studies at The University of Queensland. They are based on Turrbal/Jagera country in Meanjin (Brisbane).
