Mike Kleis

Mike Kleis has a diverse work experience. Mike is currently the President/Owner of REF since 2010, where they provide facilitated peer to peer learning and CEO coaching. In 2016, they created and facilitated The Iowa CEO Summit, a gathering specially designed for CEOs, Presidents, and Owners of Iowa companies. Since 2008, they have been the Principal Consultant at Kleis Consulting Group, Inc, helping small to mid-size firms connect business plans with results. Since 2012, they have also been a Value Builder Advisor at The Value Builder System, helping business owners evaluate the sellability of their businesses. Prior to these roles, they held various management positions at Pella Corporation, including Director of Retail Business, National Sales Manager for Pro Dealer Accounts, Core Product Planning Manager, and Strategic Program Manager. Mike also has experience as the Operations Manager at Pella Products, Inc and the Production Manager at Pella Corporation.

Mike Kleis attended South Tama County High School for an unspecified period of time. After completing high school, they went on to Central College from 1982 to 1986, where they obtained a B.A. in Business Management, Economics, and Mathematics. Then, from 1988 to 1990, Mike pursued MBA coursework at Drake University. In 2003 and 2004, they attended the Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management for an executive program focused on Marketing.
