Housing Finance Expert at Reference Point

Mary's career in business spans more than 37 years holding various leadership positions in the financial and consumer package goods industries. She is known for her innovative vison in leading large-scale operations focused on quality service, efficiencies, controls, and compliant operations – all lead by strong data analytics capabilities. Her last 22 years, Mary was Executive Vice President over Wells Fargo Home Lending Servicing Operations – servicing over eleven million mortgage customers – and then the Head of Complaints Management across the entire Wells Fargo Enterprise of businesses.

She played a critical leadership role during the 2008 – 2014 national housing crisis. She worked extensively with secondary market investors, regulators, and congressional leaders to define and develop innovative solutions for struggling borrowers across the country. She became well-known for her ability to influence strategic business action and execute on large-scale change initiatives.

Mary graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1983 with a B.A. Degree in Accounting. In addition, she received her Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant certificates from the State of Iowa Accountancy Board. She retired from Wells Fargo in July of 2020.
