Tim Cornell

Co-Founder & Chief Scientific Advisor at Refractal

Dr. Cornell is Chief of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Stanford University’s Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, and serves as the Chambers-Okamura Endowed Professor of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Stanford’s Medical School where he pursues research interests in precision medication and critical illness. Dr. Cornell received his medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and completed his Pediatric Residency at Children’s National Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident. Dr. Cornell completed a year of Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine and a 3-year Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Michigan before joining the faculty at the University of Michigan in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care. Dr. Cornell was also named a National Scholar in the NIH Pediatric Critical Care and Trauma Scientist Develop Program. Dr. Cornell has received over 10 years of NIH funding to support his research, and previously received tenure as Associate Professor in Pediatrics and Communicable Diseases at the University of Michigan Medical School.
