Sanju Varghese

Sanju Varghese is a product engineer at Reframe. Sanju has also served as a co-founder at GOWhee and as a mobile engineer at Slickdeals. At Reframe, Varghese is responsible for developing and maintaining the mobile app and backend server. Sanju has also been integral in integrations with multiple 3rd party vendors such as Firebase, ImageKit, AWS, and Google Maps.

Varghese has extensive experience in the mobile engineering field. Sanju began their career as a mobile developer intern at Slickdeals and eventually became a mobile engineer II. While at Slickdeals, they were part of the iOS team that was responsible for maintaining and updating the iOS apps of Slickdeals. Sanju also redesigned critical parts of the app like Deal Details, Deal Alerts, Store Pages. In addition, they implemented a full midnight theme on the app, which was prompted by user feedback.

In their role as co-founder at GOWhee, Varghese was responsible for developing and maintaining the mobile app and backend server. Sanju used Flutter to create a cross-platform mobile app with a subscription model. Sanju also created the backend server using the Express framework in Node JS and integrated with our PostgreSQL database.

Varghese has also served on the Quality Assurance team and Mobile Development team for the new redesigned mobile apps that were being built (Android and iOS). Sanju fixed few app-breaking bugs and several minor ones for both Android and iOS. In addition, they optimized scrolling performance for iOS app by increasing FPS by at least 300% on older iPads.

Sanju Varghese attended the University of Nevada-Las Vegas from 2012 to 2016, earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. During their time at UNLV, they were involved with the Association for Computing Machinery and SUDO.
