Sarah Hidey

Sarah Hidey has a diverse background in the nonprofit sector, with a focus on fundraising and development. Sarah is currently the Chief Development Officer at RefugePoint, where they lead global fundraising efforts to support at-risk refugees. Prior to this, they worked at Joining Vision and Action, where they served as the Co-Managing Director/Director of Resource Development, overseeing a team that provided capacity-building and fundraising consulting to social changemakers. Sarah also worked as a Senior Financing Consultant at Joining Vision and Action, where they managed client relationships and provided project management for fundraising and resource development projects.

Sarah also has experience as the Founder and Managing Director of Catalytic Ventures, LLC, a consulting business that focuses on finding and creating unconventional solutions to global challenges. Sarah has held various roles at World Relief, including as a Sr. Program Officer for Asia and West Africa, and Sr. Grant Specialist for Disaster Response, where they provided programmatic support, secured funding, and managed relationships with partners. Sarah's early career includes roles at Denver Rescue Mission, where they served as a Grants Manager, and at World Hope International and SOFMEDA, where they gained experience in community development and microfinance.

Sarah Hidey attended the University of South Carolina from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Sarah'sfield of study included Political Science and Intercultural Studies. After completing their undergraduate studies, they went on to Eastern University from 2003 to 2004, obtaining a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus on International Economic Development.
