Psychosocial Counselor

Dun Ogendi is a qualified psychosocial counselor with extensive experience in providing mental health support and developing community awareness related to trauma and torture. Currently serving as a Psychosocial Counselor at RefuSHE since February 2023, Dun previously worked at Mental 360 as a part-time counselor and trainer, and held senior positions at the Center for Victims of Torture, where responsibilities included delivering services to individuals affected by torture and war trauma. Dun's career also includes leading psychosocial counseling efforts for unaccompanied and separated minors at Heshima Kenya and providing hotline counseling services at LVCT Health. Academically, Dun holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Kenyatta University and a Bachelor's degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Eastern Africa Baraton, along with a Higher diploma in Gender Planning and Management from Moi University.
