Reg Compass was established in August 2025. It will obtain a license under Japan’s Financial Instruments and Exchange Act and will provide outsourced compliance services for investment managers.
Previously, investment managers were required to employ an in-house compliance officer with specialized experience. However, thanks to a legal amendment in 2024 that made it possible to outsource this function to licensed entities, we plan to enter the market as such an outsource provider.
