Mark Doliner

Mark Doliner has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Mark started their career at North Carolina State University, where they provided IT support for various labs. Mark then worked at SAS, initially as a Software Quality Assurance Intern and later as a Software Quality Assurance specialist. During their time at SAS, they played a key role in deploying an automated build/test system and performed tasks such as configuring the system and running static code analysis tools.

Following their time at SAS, Mark joined Cobertura, where they developed and maintained an open-source Java code coverage tool. Mark focused on fixing bugs, adding new features, and building a community around the project.

Mark then worked at Pidgin/libpurple as a Developer, contributing to the open-source Linux and Windows instant messaging program Pidgin and the libpurple library. Their responsibilities included improving connectivity to IM networks, enhancing usability, and following design principles.

At Meebo, Mark served as a Principal Software Engineer, writing server-side code and helping newer developers understand the product and the complexities of working on a large software system. Mark also worked on streamlining the development and release infrastructure.

At Google, Mark worked as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked on experimental Android apps for Chromecast and Google Glass. Mark also fixed a bug in the Google+ Android app and improved the display of user-generated content on the Google+ website.

Mark then joined Honor as a Senior Software Engineer, where they played a crucial role in building the product from scratch. Mark was involved in choosing the tech stack, designing the frontend/backend API and database schema, as well as interviewing and mentoring new hires.

Most recently, Mark joined Regard as a Senior Backend Software Engineer, where they are currently employed.

Mark Doliner completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University. Mark pursued their education at the university from the year 2000 to 2003.
