David Smith

David Smith is a Chemical Engineering Ph.D. with over 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical R&D, including roles at Pfizer and Merck. Currently, they serve as a Principal Pharmacokineticist at Regeneron, where they develop quantitative frameworks for drug discovery. David co-founded the Graduate Simulation Seminar Series at UC Santa Barbara, significantly increasing attendance and budget during their tenure as Co-Founder and Co-Organizer from 2014 to 2018. They have also contributed to the field through roles as a Senior Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow, focusing on modeling and simulation in drug development. David earned a Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Bachelor’s in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
