Gemma Pearson

Gemma Pearson is a Principal Scientist at Regeneron, specializing in diabetes research with over a decade of experience in beta-cell biology. Previously, Gemma held roles as a Senior Scientist and Postdoctoral Researcher at various institutions, contributing to significant advancements in understanding lipid signaling and mitochondrial function in pancreatic beta-cells. Gemma has authored eight peer-reviewed articles, delivered numerous presentations at scientific conferences, and engaged in community outreach and mentorship, particularly through the Association for Women in Science at the University of Michigan. They hold a PhD in biochemistry from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Medical Science with honors from the University of Technology, Sydney.
